I am a lecturer at the University of Victoria, specializing in courses on communication, sustainability, and cultural analysis. My academic journey has evolved from a focus on literary analysis to exploring the critical intersection of sustainability and communication. This shift led me from earning a PhD in 19th Century Literary Culture (2020) to completing an MBA in Sustainable Innovation (2024). My early research in genre fiction provided a foundation for my current work, where I analyze cultural narratives that link business practices to environmental impact. Today, I apply these insights to teach and develop strategies for sustainable communication, with a focus on the social implications of environmental policies. My work aims to blend cultural understanding with practical communication skills, advancing the discourse on our most pressing sustainability challenges.
