Thierry Warin

Thierry Warin is a Professor of Data Science for Global Transformations at HEC Montreal, a fellow at the Digital, Data and Design (D^3) Institute at Havard Business School and a principal investigator of the GVCdtlab initiative at CIRANO. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business Analytics Program (HBAP 2020) and holds a PhD from Essec Business School (2000). His research focuses on Data Science for the study of Global Transformations, examining geographic and technological changes, which are strongly interconnected. He utilizes Data Science tools such as GIS, R, Python, and Julia to study innovation, institutions, regulations, and economic dynamics. He has a particular interest in leveraging unstructured data through Gen AI/NLP.
