Temitope O. Sogbamu

Dr Sogbanmu holds a PhD in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management and is a Lecturer I at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her research focus is on the risk assessment and management of organic pollutants in various environmental media using classic and emerging ecotoxicology tools. This is with a view to develop and provide targeted environmental management advice to regulators/policymakers as well as innovative products for the treatment of wastewaters.

Her accomplishments include the co-development of a prototype effluent treatment unit for the treatment of wastewaters from printing presses in 2018, several peer-reviewed journal publications and books, recipient of the L’Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science in Sub-Saharan Africa award 2014, Affiliate, The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) 2019-2023, Member and Vice-President, Nigerian Young Academy (NYA) 2019-2024 and 2021-2023 respectively, West African Science Leadership Programme Fellow 2019, several research and travel grants, fellowships, guest speaker at several environmental professional society meetings and conferences.
