- Researcher - Climate Security Specialist, CGIAR
Dr Siyaxola Gadu has a PhD in geography and environmental sciences (climate change) from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently a researcher at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT (CGIAR) Southern African team that contribute to state-of-the-art knowledge generation on matters concerning climate, conflict, displacement, inequality, gender, and peacebuilding within the Climate Resilience (ClimBer) and the Fragility, Conflict, and Migration (FCM) research initiatives. He is also seconded by CGIAR to UNHCR to support in the upscaling of the Africa Risk Capacity Replica Insurance initiative.
