• Chercheur en agroécologie, CGIAR

Sarah is a scientist at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, working to find pathways to sustainable food systems. She is a mathematician and geographer by training, with a PhD on sustainably managing ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes. Sarah uses models, systematic reviews, field surveys and dialogue to co-develop knowledge with researchers and practitioners on how to reconcile trade-offs and shift behaviours in food systems. Much of her work has focused on agrobiodiversity - plants, animals and microorganisms that support food production - and how to effectively manage this diversity to achieve biodiverse, healthy and prosperous agricultural landscapes and food systems.
