Sara Malo Cerrato

Doctor in Psychology (Cum Laude, 2009). Associate professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Girona (UdG).
Since 2003, I have been a member of the ERIDIQV research team (www.udg.edu/eridiqv), where I trained through a pre-doctoral FPI scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN). Since 2021, I have co-coordinated the team alongside Dr. Mònica González-Carrasco. I lead the research line on the responsible use of ICTs and social media among adolescents. Within the team, my contributions and specialization have focused mainly on two areas of research: 1) The use of audiovisual media, ICTs, and social networks by children and adolescents; and 2) Subjective well-being in childhood and adolescence. I am a member of the Platform for Media Education and the Working Group on Responsible Screen Use (PEM and EDUCAC program of the Catalan Audiovisual Council).
