Dr. Sandra Lucas is a Senior Lecturer at the University of West Scotland in the School of Health Sciences. She holds a Diploma of Applied Science (Nursing) (1991), Diploma of Applied Science (Naturopathy) (1997), Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing (Clinical Nursing Education) (2001), Master of Nursing Science (2009), and a PhD (2021) from the University of South Australia, where she was awarded the Research Degree Excellence Award in 2019. Dr. Lucas is a Registered Nurse in both Australia and the UK and a qualified naturopath.
Since completing her PhD, Dr. Lucas has begun establishing an international reputation in health services research. With expertise in systematic reviews, mixed methods research, and Delphi studies, she has published eight peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at three international conferences. Her work has an h-index of 4 with 40 citations. Dr. Lucas's future aspirations focus on advancing the evidence base for Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM), aiming to improve healthcare quality and safety on a global scale through multidisciplinary research.
