Rosanna Carver

(She/Her)

I am a political ecologist/political economist and my research interests are broadly in deep sea mining, resource extraction and oceanic geography.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Victoria, Canada, where I work with partners on collaborative projects to better understand some of the social, cultural and economic impacts of ocean management in British Columbia.

I was previously an Ocean Leaders Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, where I researched the Blue Economy Agenda, deep sea mining and questions of Rights and Title over the seabed.

I hold a PhD from Lancaster University ("Exploring the blue economy: resource sovereignty and seabed mining in Namibia") and an MSc Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.
