Rebecca Napolitano, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Penn State University, where she directs the Heritage 3D Lab and serves as Associate Director of the Digital Twin Hub at the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS). She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award for her research at the intersection of civil engineering, computer science, and historic preservation. Her research group focuses on diagnostics and computational analysis of existing infrastructure, particularly unreinforced masonry, using machine learning and physics-based modeling to support the retrofitting and adaptive reuse of historic structures. She holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
