Ramon Lobato

Ramon Lobato is Professor of Digital Media at Swinburne University. A scholar of media and cultural industries, he has a particular interest in online video – its histories, markets, and audiences. Ramon is the author of books including Smart TV: Devices, Platforms, Markets (NYU Press 2027), Netflix Nations: The Geography of Digital Distribution (NYU Press 2019) and Shadow Economies of Cinema (British Film Institute, 2012). Ramon is an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities and has held three Australian Research Council Fellowships.
