NobuLali Dangazele

Dr. Nobulali Dangazele is an accomplished academic and serial entrepreneur with a PhD in Management Sciences from Warwick University. Her doctoral research focused on the Strategy-as-Practice subfield, examining materiality, embodiment, and discursivity within senior management teams’ strategy workstreams. She is currently a lecturer at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, where she integrates her background as an actress and Applied Theatre facilitator into her teaching and consulting, creating dynamic, experiential learning environments.

An innovative force in the creative industries, Dr. Dangazele is an award winning entrepreneur in the creative industries space, having co-founded Nudgeathon, a two-stage crowdsourcing platform that uses nudge theory, design thinking, and drama theory to craft actionable solutions to complex behavioural policy issues. Additionally, she is the founder and Managing Director of ShakeXperience, a renowned Applied Theatre company recognized for impactful educational interventions and African adaptations of classics, such as their award-winning version of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. ShakeXperience partners with schools, corporations, and government departments to use theatre as a tool for communication, team cohesion, and cultural engagement.

Dr. Dangazele's academic and professional interests span strategy, experiential learning, behavioural insights (Nudge), symbolic interaction, leadership, and applied theatre. A qualitative researcher with a special interest in video methods, she is dedicated to fostering the next generation of scholars through her supervision of master’s and PhD candidates. Passionate about mental health, Dr. Dangazele is exploring the arts as a non-medical intervention through social prescribing.
