Natalie is an English Literature PhD candidate from University of Liverpool UK, having previously completed a masters in Literature and Modernity at University of Edinburgh and undergraduate degree in English Literature at Durham University.
Her PhD research focuses on contemporary trauma literature and theory, particularly the representation of the traumatised body in fiction and popular engagement with trauma fiction in online spaces. She is an expert in all things digital reading culture, from online reading communities and platforms, social media's impact on publishing, writing, and reading, to the ways AI is changing how people read and write.
She is also a culture writer and has had other work published in The Guardian, The Independent, Refinery29, i Paper, DAZED and VICE.
