Naomi Adam

I am a postdoctoral research associate based at the Digital Media and Society Institute (DMSI) at the University of Liverpool. My research interests span contemporary, award-winning and/or postcolonial literature, cognitive poetics, fictional ontologies, stylistic approaches to popular culture, corpus stylistics and fictolinguistics. My work has featured in Language and Literature, English Text Construction and the Journal of Language and Pop Culture, among other outlets. My monograph Metaperspectives in Contemporary Literary Fiction was published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2026, and I am co-editor of the collection Immersion: The Experience of Literary Reading (2026).
