Morven is currently working towards a Ph.D. in English Literature at the University of Liverpool. Her thesis investigates depictions of end of life care in contemporary British and American texts, with a particular focus on narratives where a character chooses to be euthanised. She has a strong interest in medical humanities research and is web and social media co-ordinator for the ‘Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences of Health, Medicine, and Technology.’
Morven has spoken at a variety of academic conferences including the ‘British Society for Literature and Science Conference’ at the University of Birmingham and the ‘Death and Culture Conference’ at the University of York. She has published in journals such as Hektoen International and The Guardian. Morven is passionate about public engagement and has organised various events including a play reading at the Wellcome Collection Library in London.
