Mark is an Assistant Professor in the Kinesiology department at the University of North Dakota, teaching primarily courses in the Sports Leadership EdD program and Physical Education teacher preparation. A former K-12 teacher, coach, and athletic administrator, Mark brings practical knowledge and application to his teaching and research. As a researcher, Mark's main interests are youth sports parenting, athletic director retention, and character-based athletic coaching. He is the chair of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association's (NIAAA) publications committee and has been published several times in the Interscholastic Athletic Administrator, Athletic Management, and on nfhs.org. Additionally, Mark teaches Leadership Training Courses for the NIAAA and is a founding board member of the newly formed National Leaderology Association.
