I am an Italian sociologist whose work bridges education, culture, and social inequality. I am affiliated with Sapienza University of Rome, where I teach Sociology of Culture and Education. My research focuses on understanding how educational systems reproduce or challenge social disparities, often through cross-national comparisons and data-driven analysis. My collaborations with scholars from institutions such as the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, EACEA and multiple universities and research centers across Europe highlight my personal interest for cross-national tendencies and multidisciplinary approaches.
I am fully committed to uncovering how education can act both as a mechanism of social mobility and as a mirror of broader structural inequalities. I have co-authored works that examine equity in education, educational governance, and students' transitions in a globalized society. My approach is empirical yet deeply humanistic- balancing statistical strategies with a keen sensitivity to the lived experiences of learners and teachers alike. In short, I strive to be a thoughtful observer of how societies learn, teach, and reproduce themselves through culture and schooling.
