Linda M. Boland is Professor and Chair of Biology at the University of Richmond. Boland’s scientific research focuses on the structure and function of ion channel proteins that are critical to nerve and muscle function.
Boland earned a B.S. from Lafayette College, an M.S. from Old Dominion University, a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed two post-doctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School. She also served as a Visiting Scientist at the Janelia Research Campus of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and as the Knapp Chair of Liberal Arts at the University of San Diego.
