Komla Tsey

I am a retired professor of education for sustainability with over 40 years of cross-cultural research and development experience spanning Ghana, Australia and China. I authored more than 200 publications, led major research collaborations, and mentored the next generation of scholars and community leaders. Now a Professorial Research Fellow at Central Queensland University’s Jawun Research Institute, I focus on translating research into practice and evaluating its impact across settings. In my native Ghana, my current work explores ways in which the African diaspora can leverage their influence, expertise, and capital to build bridges of trust between foreign investors and local entrepreneurs—creating pathways for ethical investment, innovation, and sustainable development.
