Kimberly Riskas holds a BSc in Environmental Systems (Ecology, Behaviour and Evolution) from the University of California, San Diego. She also studied at the Monteverde Institute in Costa Rica. Research interests include fisheries governance, marine ecology and conservation.
Her PhD research focuses on illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and its impacts on sea turtles and other marine megafauna in the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia. She has previously worked on research projects in the United States, Cabo Verde and throughout Australia.
