Dr Kate Raynor is a Research Associate at the University of Melbourne, where she is affiliated with the national ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course (the Life Course Centre). She is also the Director of Per Capita's Centre for Equitable Housing. She has a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning and a career spanning academia, consulting, think tanks and tech start-ups.
Kate's research focuses on housing policy and partnerships, higher density housing, housing innovation, homelessness and the lived experiences of low income households. She publishes academic articles and policy-focused outputs with the goal of improving the supply and quality of housing that is affordable to very low and low income households. Kate advocates for research-informed housing outcomes that are equitable, sustainable, affordable and healthy.
