Jack Brand is a behavioural and movement ecologist who studies how human-induced environmental change can influence the behaviour of wildlife populations. He uses both laboratory and field-based tracking techniques to primarily understand how chemical pollution in the aquatic environment can alter the movement dynamics of fish populations.

Brand is currently a Researcher in the Aquatic Ecology group based in the Department of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, as well as a Visiting Researcher at the London Zoological Society's Institute of Zoology. He completed hid PhD at Monash University (Australia) in 2023 under the supervision of Bob Wong and David Chapple.
