- Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Guelph
Holly Noelle Schaafsma, RD, PhD is a registered dietitian and postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Guelph where she primarily works within the Guelph Family Health Study, examining the impact of family-based interventions on children's dietary intake and predictors of diet quality from childhood into adolescence. Prior to this, she completed her PhD in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University, where she examined influences on postsecondary students' diet quality and the impact of a mobile health nutrition education intervention on their dietary intake.
Holly's primary research interests include behaviour change interventions to improve diet quality, the role of equity (e.g., gender, income, education) in intervention effectiveness, and predictors of diet quality across the lifecycle, specifically early childhood into adolescence and young adulthood.
