Gia Linh Lam

(She/her)

I am a materials and semiconductor engineering specialist with research experience in thin-film fabrication, nanomaterials, and photonic energy devices. My technical background includes atomic layer deposition (ALD), semiconductor interface engineering, optical and electrical characterization, and R&D focused on next-generation micro-energy systems. I have supported cleanroom processing, optimized thin-film deposition workflows, conducted device performance testing, and utilized advanced characterization techniques such as SEM/EDX and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nanoscience from Carleton University and a Master of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from McMaster University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Ottawa, where my research focuses on betavoltaic devices.
