Evelyn Ersanilli

My research examines immigrant integration in Europe - in particular citizenship, identity and family - and migration policy development - with a focus on low skilled migrants.
In 2017 I was awarded an ERC Starting Grant for the RIGHTS project (2018-2023) which examines how origin countries influence the rights of their low skilled migrant workers abroad.

I hold an MSc in interdisciplinary Social Science from Utrecht University (the Netherlands) and a PhD in Sociology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prior to joining the University of Amsterdam I worked at the International Migration Institute (IMI) at the University of Oxford, the WZB Berlin Social Science Research Centre (Germany) and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
