Eric Thrane

(he/him)

My research focuses on astrophysics, cosmology, and gravitational-wave astronomy. I am a member of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) collaboration, which made the first detections of gravitational waves. My group searches for gravitational waves in order to probe some of the most extreme objects in the Universe such as neutron stars and black holes.
