Emmanouil Flaounas

I’m a researcher in atmospheric and climate science at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR; Greece, specializing in Mediterranean cyclones and regional climate modelling. My work focuses on the dynamical and physical processes governing high-impact weather systems. I investigate how these processes are represented across spatial and temporal scales, contributing to a more robust understanding of regional climate variability and its extremes. My work is driven by the goal of linking global climate knowledge to regional impacts, contributing to a more actionable understanding of climate variability and change.
