- Investigador postdoctoral Juan de la Cierva, Universidad de Cádiz
Dr. Eduardo Diz obtained his PhD on 10/2023 and is currently a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cádiz, where he leads a research program on urban microclimate and thermal comfort, as well as on materials, simulation and industrialised solutions applied to the built heritage. His work includes the supervision of doctoral students, the coordination of experimental field campaigns, active participation in international research projects -including ongoing European initiatives- and regular involvement in teaching and collaborative academic activities, notably through Erasmus+ projects. He is consolidating an independent research agenda with increasing scientific autonomy. His trajectory has focused on the development and validation of passive strategies aimed at reducing building energy demand through both simulation-based and experimental methodologies to improve thermal comfort in Mediterranean urban and transitional environments. His primary research line addresses urban microclimate and thermal comfort, complemented by a second line centred on materials and industrialised solutions for heritage and the built environment.
