Over 30+ years in the Museum, I have gained expertise in managing and developing collections, managing staff and budgets, developing strategic plans, seeking funding, developing public programs and exhibitions, conducting peer-reviewed research, communicating science to a diverse range of audiences, and promoting the Museum in a wide variety of forums.

I am passionate about museum collections and dedicated to engaging the public in science through developing public programs, exhibitions, and on-line products. Through diligently building relationships with researchers, institutions, companies, community groups and private collectors, I have been successful at forming new research collaborations and at acquiring many significant donations. Throughout my career, I have been instrumental in introducing new technologies within the Natural Sciences collections to promote access and to facilitate creative uses of the collections.
