CindyAnn Rose-Redwood is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Victoria. Originally from the Caribbean, she grew up in New York City and was trained as an urban social geographer and educational theorist with an interest in international migration, urban social life, the politics of identity, educational policy, and contemporary geopolitics. Her research examines the social experiences of international students in higher education settings, the social geographies of immigrant communities in North American cities, and the Caribbean diaspora. She is the author and editor of numerous scholarly works, including International Encounters: Higher Education and the International Student Experience (2019) and International Student Activism and the Politics of Higher Education (2024). She also teaches and conducts research related to social justice and anti-racism.
