Chun Song is a Scientist at the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT, CGIAR. She has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. Her research areas include spatial economics, impact evaluation, and development economics, with a focus on understanding how geography influences intervention effectiveness, resilience, and other development outcomes, now and in the future. She leads projects across Africa and Asia, her work includes mapping future food demand accounting for both global and local drivers; humanitarian aid distribution; water conflicts; and evaluating the effectiveness of different dissemination of agricultural innovations, among others. Chun Song also contributes to a range of capacity building training in the global south on spatial methods for policy.
