Christina Mary Pollard

(She/her)

Professor Pollard describe herself a ‘pracademic’ – moving to academia in 2020 after working for government for over 35 years as a frank and fearless public servant to improve public health. She believes it is critical to influence by translating research into effective policy action. In her role as Curtin University Professor of Public Health Priorities, Christina is the Director of the Public Health Advocacy Institute and Co-Director of Mentally Healthy WA. Professor Pollard has a strong interest in improving nutrition for population groups who are vulnerable to poor nutrition due to their social, environmental or economic circumstances.
