I am a diplomatic and intellectual historian. My work has focused on Cold War human rights, neoliberalism, and foreign aid, as well as histories of America's ideological relationships with nations in the Global South. My research has appeared in The Journal of Cold War Studies, Nursing Clio, and Remedia, and an article on neoliberal economic development will appear soon in Diplomatic History.

My first monograph, "One-Third Rich, Two-Thirds Hungry: Development and Neoliberalism in the Late Cold War," is under final review with Cambridge University Press. It explores the evolution of the United State's foreign aid program after the Vietnam War, and uses foreign aid to examine the rise of neoliberalism in the 1970s and 1980s, and its effects on global North-South relations at the end of the Cold War.

My second book, now being researched and written, focuses on the post-Cold War rise of anti-liberalism and anti-democratic beliefs. It is a long history of anti-Enlightenment and anti-liberalism that examines the intellectual foundations of modern neoreactionary politics within global right wing politics, especially pro-monarchists and illiberal democratic proponents.
