I graduated with MBChB (Hons) from the University of Liverpool in 1999, having also undertaken an intercalated BSc in Pharmacology (1st Class) in 1996/7. I undertook my PhD at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Clinical Research Programme, graduating in 2011. I now lead a research programme at the Infectious Diseases Institute, Makerere University, Uganda, with a focus on understanding medication dose, safety and efficacy in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
