Caillan Davenport

I am Professor of Classics and Head of the Centre for Classical Studies in the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics at the Australian National University. My research focuses on the politics and society of the Ancient Mediterranean world, especially Roman emperors, monarchy, and the conflict between democracy and authoritarian rule.
