Antoine Grosjean

Antoine Grosjean has been a teacher-researcher at the EPF since January 2023. He defended his thesis (2018) in materials science for solar energy at the PROMES CNRS laboratory, focusing on surface treatments for solar thermal collectors. He continued his work on a post-doctorate at CEA Liten (2018-2020) on the ageing of solar mirrors, and then at the universities of Grenoble and Clermont-Ferrand (2020-2023), acquiring skills in photonics, multiphysics modelling and numerical optimization. His current expertise is in the optics of solar energy devices (solar thermal, PV), with a particular focus on the modelling and optimization of thin-film surface treatments. This is illustrated by the SolPOC open-access Python code, which plays a key role in the academic project on spectral-splitting surface treatment for PV-CST hybrid solar collectors.
