- Adjunct Faculty in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Adler University
Andrea D. Carter is an organizational scientist and a global, award-winning neuroscience-based consultant whose work focuses on workplace belonging and cultural transformation. She is an Adjunct Professor at Adler University in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a Forbes Business Council member, and a TEDx speaker.
Carter is the founder and CEO of Andrea Carter Consulting, which partners with organizations to measure and strengthen belonging using data-driven surveys, leadership training, and evidence-based consulting rooted in her Belonging First Methodology™. Her signature research, Canada's largest workplace belonging study, surveyed more than 3,500 employees across 13 TSX-listed mining companies, and her findings have since been validated across 150,000+ workers in eight industries. In March 2026, she delivered the closing keynote at the Global Workplace Happiness Report launch at Google's London headquarters. She speaks with students, schools, and organizations around the world.
Her core message: belonging is not how people feel. Belonging is how people perform.
