Professor at the University of Plymouth with 30+ years’ experience of working in the environmental communication field. Graduated with a BA (Sociology) from University of York in 1986. She is a founding member of the International Environmental Communication Association and former Editor-in-Chief of the Routledge journal, Environmental Communication. Author of Media, Culture and the Environment (Routledge, 1997) and Media, Environment and the Network Society (Palgrave, 2014). Current research focuses on young people, education and climate change and climate communication and the media.
