Doctor in Engineering, professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, researcher in renewable energy field, Alexandre Beluco was a pioneer in the approach to the complementarity of variable renewable sources of energy, paving the way for the emergence of several research groups around the world dedicated to this subject. Author of dozens of scientific articles (among them a review on energy complementarity that was the most cited by Solar Energy between 2021 and 2023) and co editor of the book Complementarity of Variable Renewable Energy Sources, published by Academic Press in 2022.
