Alejandro Martínez

Dr. Alejandro Martínez is a cognitive neuroscientist and university lecturer specializing in bilingual language processing. He earned his PhD from the University of the Basque Country, conducting research at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) using EEG, MEG, and eye-tracking to investigate how language and culture shape neural representations.

He has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Valladolid and currently teaches at Universidad UDIT. His work has been supported by competitive fellowships from the Basque Government and the Spanish Ministry of Science. He is particularly interested in how bilingualism influences attention, memory, and thought, bridging neuroscience with broader cultural and educational questions.
