Albena Björck

Albena Björck, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Head of the Global Business Lab at the School of Management and Law, at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). Her research activities lie in the area of purpose-driven strategic management in times of organizational transformation, crisis, and renewal in global incumbent firms and draw from multi-disciplinary, human-centered, and system perspectives. She is a Chair of the Strategic Management Division and a Track Chair “Purpose-driven Strategies” at the European Academy of Management. For the last 25 years, Björck has managed as a senior leader organizational development, identity transition, and corporate crises, as well as advised and coached more than 500 organizations on topics such as strategic positioning, strategic crisis management, and purpose-driven transformation. Currently, Björck is a principal investigator at and co-founder of the Swiss Purpose Inside Lab, a research initiative for action research and strategic collaboration with incumbent multinational corporations.
