- Senior Analyst, RAND Europe
Zuzanna Marciniak-Nuqui is an analyst at RAND Europe. Focusing on health care innovation research, she is particularly interested in health systems and how innovation fits into existing ways of working and caring for patients. She has experience in conducting ethnography (participant observation), formal and informal interviews, focus groups, and photo elicitation in health care settings. Marciniak-Nuqui’s key strengths are in qualitative research in culturally diverse settings and on sensitive topics, enabling her to explore the interactions between social and scientific developments that influence improved practices.
Before joining RAND, Marciniak-Nuqui worked at the Centre for Population Health Sciences, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where she led qualitative research on the social and cultural aspects surrounding diabetes patients' wound care practices in Singapore. She has previously done research on Christian NGO aid for female foreign care workers in Singapore, focusing on the intersection of migration, gender, religion, and care.
Marciniak-Nuqui earned her Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
