Dr Zoe Fisher is currently on secondment to the Strategy Department at Swansea Bay University Health Board and to the West Glamorgan Regional Partnership Board, where she is the Clinical Lead overseeing the implementation of the Emotional and Mental Wellbeing Strategy. Her substantive role is Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Neuropsychology within the Regional Neuropsychology Service, where she is Deputy Head of Service and Lead for Community Neurorehabilitation. She also holds an Associate Professorship at Swansea University allowing her to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. Zoe has extensive experience in clinical leadership, service development, research, and teaching. Her work focuses on developing theoretical frameworks and psychosocial interventions that promote health, wellbeing, and community participation following brain injury, translating research into innovative community based neurorehabilitation programmes developed in partnership with people with lived experience and community organisations. She has published widely across qualitative, experimental, and service evaluation research and currently leads a Health and Care Research Wales funded multi site feasibility randomised controlled trial evaluating a psychosocial intervention based on her work. Zoe also led the development of the competency framework for the UK Clinical Neuropsychology profession adopted by the British Psychological Society, and her contributions to research and practice have been recognised through multiple local and national awards.
