Zoe Davies is Professor of Biodiversity Conservation at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE), which is based at University of Kent. She has worked on projects in the UK, across Europe, Chile, Guyana, Kenya, Madagascar, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Zoe's research involves integrating natural and social science disciplines to answer important questions regarding how we should conserve the natural environment. She is most interested in understanding: (i) how to improve conservation policy and practice; (ii) the human wellbeing benefits derived from experiencing biodiversity; (iii) people’s attitudes, perceptions and values associated with biodiversity; and (iv) the impacts of environmental change (climate, habitat fragmentation, urbanisation) on biodiversity.
