I have an interest in health system improvement and equitable access to care for adults, children and adolescents living with chronic and complex diseases such as genetic and chromosomal disease, heart disease, type-1 diabetes and mental health issues.
I study health services and systems, with a strong focus on co-designing innovative models of integrated care that span health sectors and join-up health and social care services.
I have expertise in implementation science, complexity science, health policy analysis and the health workforce.
A recent focus has been the impact of climate change on human health, health system preparedness for climate change, mitigation strategies for health systems to reduce their own carbon footprint. My research is highly collaborative with health consumers and clinicians, and is highly translational, having direct impact on health services and systems.
