I work in the field of Adaptation Studies and have published monographs related to Shakespeare on Screen (2009), and Adapting the Canon (2017), and Adaptable TV (2018). I am also a creative practitioner engaged in screenwriting. I joined the University of New England in 2013 as a Lecturer in Media and Communications. Prior to this I was a Senior Lecturer in English at De Montfort University where I was an active research member of the university's Centre for Adaptations.
