Yustina Yustina

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Cancer and Pharmaceutical Science at King's College London. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and a Master's degree in Chemistry from Universitas Indonesia, where I specialized in toxicology. My research interests span toxicology, nanotechnology, cosmetic science, and regulatory science, with publications in several reputable scientific journals.

Since joining the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (Badan POM) in 2007, I have gained extensive experience in cosmetic testing, analytical method development, laboratory quality management, and regulatory science. My expertise includes Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, and ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Quality Management Systems. I am also actively involved in regional and national scientific networks, including the ASEAN Cosmetic Technical Laboratory Committee (ACTLC) and the Indonesia Cosmetic Laboratory Network (JLKI).

My technical expertise encompasses analytical method development and validation, chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and laboratory accreditation. I have hands-on experience with a wide range of analytical instruments, including AAS, UV-Vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, GC, HPLC, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and Q-ToF systems.

Beyond my professional responsibilities, I am passionate about cosmetic safety, toxicology, nanotechnology, scientific communication, women empowerment, and cultural diversity. I regularly contribute to scientific publications and public science outreach, aiming to bridge the gap between research, regulation, and public understanding.

I am always open to national and international collaborations in research, scientific publications, academic partnerships, guest lectures, training programs, consultancy, and other initiatives related to cosmetics, toxicology, nanotechnology, analytical chemistry, and regulatory science.
