I am a specialist in applying CT scanning and computer-based 3D rendering technologies to study exceptionally preserved fossils. These reveal the near complete 3D morphologies of arthropods that lived 500 million years ago and thus enable the reconstruction of their evolutionary history. I am currently the Director of the Ministry for Education Key Laboratory for Palaeontology and Palaeoenvironments at Yunnan University, China.
