Yizhen Ding is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban and Regional Science at Texas A&M University. She earned her master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

With a strong commitment to exploring the relationship between the physical environment and human health, her research bridges large-scale urban planning and human-scale design. Her work focuses on creating healthier and more impactful spaces by examining how natural and built environments influence well-being. Her dissertation is an interdisciplinary study primarily focused on the physical environment, microbiology, and human health. Her published research covers a range of topics, including the impact of built and natural environments on human health, the effects of biodiversity on well-being, and the relationship between urban design and human behavior.
