Yi Wang has just obtained her PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge, specialising in children’s and young adult literature. Her research focuses on Asian American graphic narratives, with particular interests in how family and collective memory shape identity and navigate emotional engagement. Drawing on cognitive narratology and comics studies, her doctoral research explores how graphic narratives represent individual and collective experiences, and how personal and family stories can complicate dominant narratives of history and identity. Her work has appeared in ImageText and Cambridge Educational Research e-Journal, with forthcoming article in International Research in Children’s Literature.
