Yasemin Pacaci is a Postdoctoral Fellow and part-time Assistant Professor in the Organizational Behavior department at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. She is currently conducting several research projects in the fields of mindfulness and leadership. She completed her PhD in Management and Strategy at Koç University, where she served as both a Teaching & Research Assistant and later as a part-time Lecturer. During her time there, she taught lectures on Leadership, Well-being, and Change Management.
Dr. Pacaci is deeply passionate about mindfulness, both personally and professionally. After completing intensive mindfulness teacher training at Mindful Academy Solterreno, she became a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher. Her doctoral dissertation, titled “Be Mindful of the Mindfulness Interventions! Does Mindfulness Increase Leader Moral Action Through Unveiling Organizational Politics?”, explored the transformative role of mindfulness in organizational settings. She also authored the article “Mindfulness is not What You Think!” in Harvard Business Review Turkey.
Her commitment to preserving the integrity of mindfulness, free from biases and misconceptions, drives her mission to encourage experiential learning and engagement. In pursuit of this goal, she conducts several training sessions and workshops for employees, corporate leaders, university students, and the general public, delivering them in both English and Turkish.
